You can understand opinions, arguments, and viewpoints presented in texts and understand the content of workplace documents such as emails, memos, and manuals.
Speaking:
It is anticipated that you can express ideas and opinions on a range of familiar and abstract topics, providing explanations and reasons. You will also be able to participate in conversations, discussions, and debates on familiar and unfamiliar topics. You will also be able to give short presentations and describe experiences, events, and plans clearly and coherently.
Writing:
At B2 level you can write coherent and detailed texts, such as essays, reports, and reviews, on various topics and express opinions by supporting them with reasons and examples. It is expected at B2 level that you can write formal letters and emails, as well as personal letters and messages.
Vocabulary and Grammar:
A B2 English speaking learner will have a wide enough vocabulary to communicate effectively on most general and specific topics. You can also use a range of grammatical structures with a relatively high degree of accuracy and use appropriate idiomatic expressions and phrasal verbs in context.
Interactive Communication:
A B2 learner can engage in discussions and debates, contributing to conversations and expressing personal views. You will be expected to seek clarification, confirm information, and ask for further details in conversations.
