Lesson 4: Office Equipment And Supplies
In this lesson we discuss items found in the office both electrical and non-electrical. You also learn the phrasal verbs and colocations associated with them.
Lesson 5: Receiving A Visitor
In this lesson we look at receiving visitors to your business. You also listen to people talking to visitors and read a diary of someone on a business trip.

Unit 2
Lesson 1: Present Tenses
In this lesson you have an opportunity to focus on using present tenses in a business context. We focus on accuracy. You will write a cover letter in the lesson.
Lesson 2: Eating Out
This lesson focuses on phrases and vocabulary needed for eating out in business situations. You read and listen to two people in eating out in a restaurant.
Lesson 3: Job Interviews
This lesson focuses on the vocabulary and situations in applying for a job. You will read a job interview and we will practice a job interview during role play.

This lesson will focus on the vocabulary around clothes in a business context. You read and discuss an article about how we dress for work has changed.
Lesson 5: Asking Questions Part 1
In this lesson we focus on the present simple, present continuous and present perfect tenses in a business context asking questions about a persons workday.

Unit 3
Lesson 1: Checking Progress
You will focus on having a work progress review. You will read a review between an employee and manager and listen to three people having a progress review.
Lesson 2: Business Emails
We focus on writing business emails and appropriate phrases and vocabulary. We look at starting and ending emails, certain terms and error correction.
Lesson 3: Describing Colleagues
This lesson will focus on describing peoples feelings and qualities. You will read about office events and listen to three people talking about other people.
Lesson 4: Banking And Money
This lesson focuses on situations around money and banking. You will give advice about starting a business bank account and learn related vocabulary.
Lesson 5: Past Tenses
We focus on four past tenses in a business context. It is designed to help you in situations where you have previously met somebody in the past.

Unit 4
Lesson 1: Comparing Brands
You will focus on comparing different brands and products and review connected vocabulary. You will listen to a comparison of different car brands.
Lesson 2: Asking Questions Part 2
In this lesson you will focus on and ask questions using past simple, past continuous and past perfect. Focus is on correct tense and question structure.
Lesson 3: I Have A Suggestion
This lesson looks at the language of suggestions, advice, warnings and rules in business travel. You will offer travel advice and make related suggestions.
Lesson 4: Understanding Presentations
This lesson is about graphs and charts in the context of presentations. You will read and listen to a presentation text and complete your presentation.
Lesson 5: I Like It Like This
This lesson focuses on making decision in a business context. You will read a text and listen to four people choosing the best advertisement for their business.
Lesson 6: Unit 4 Review

Unit 5
Lesson 1: How’s It Going?
We focus on vocabulary and situations around projects and work. You listen to and read dialogue about projects, time, quality and project resources.
Lesson 2: Discussing Free Time
This lesson will focus on free time and different activities that people do. You will read and listen to three people describe what they do in their free time.
Lesson 3: Sick Day
This lesson looks at illness and injury in a work context. You will listen to people calling in sick and read about deaths and injury in the workplace.
Lesson 4: Discussing And Agreeing
We look at vocabulary and function around agreeing and discussing in a business context. We will read about three people discussing a changing deadline.
Lesson 5: Future Tenses
This Lesson focuses on future tenses in a business context. We look at the tenses, error correction and provide an opportunity to talk about your experience.

You will focus on pay and benefits in a job. You will listen to an explanation of a pay slip and read about three people discussing the benefits of their job.

In this lesson we look at the vocabulary and situation around teamwork. We focus on reading and listening skills and provide you with some question time.
Lesson 3: Time Management
You will focus on vocabulary and strategies around time management. We hear three people organizing their day and the importance of time management.
Lesson 4: Finance
You will focus on vocabulary of finance and banking. You listen to a banker discussing what banks offer and read about peoples experience of banking.
Lesson 5: Asking Questions Part 3
In this lesson you will learn to ask questions using five tenses. We will form questions and learn the difference of ‘going to’ and the present continuous.
Lesson 6: Unit 6 Review

We focus on insurance in the business context. You will listen to three business owners discuss their insurance and read about what insurance is required.

This lesson looks back at what you have learned from experience and read an article of a person and what they learned from their experience in business.
Lesson 5: Writing Reports
This lesson looks at the requirements of a business report. You will listen to three people talking about reports and read how a report should be written.
